Mammoth Panel Absorber was a key acoustic solution for the Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre.
Mammoth® was proud to be part of the acoustic solution for the inspiring Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre.
The ethereal beauty of this public building was designed by Patterson Associates with the acoustic engineering of Marshall Day who utilised Mammoth Panel Absorber behind its stunning leafy ceiling pattern to discreetly reduce noise reverberation in its busy public spaces.
Mammoth Panel Absorber is available in white, black or grey and can be supplied either unfaced or with a facing in white or black. For the design of the Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre both facing colours were considered to subtly accent the distinctive leaf motif.
The Gardens Visitor Centre won a John Scott Award for Public Architecture at The New Zealand Architecture awards.
Available in black & white, the designers considered both colour options of panel absorber behind their ceiling fascia.
