Description

Mammoth ceiling batten insulation products are designed to support the thermal performance of skillion or truss ceilings.

Made of 100% polyester, Mammoth® Ceiling Batten Insulation is designed to support the thermal performance of skillion and truss roof spaces. Ceiling batten space is an ideal cavity to insulate:

  • to reduce thermal bridging through your truss bottom chords or rafters, and
  • as the space is easily accessible from underneath and usually an unused space.

We have two options available for ceiling batten spaces - a R1.0 blanket and R1.3 airlay sections. Both require 45mm deep ceiling battens.

For ceilings with sufficient roof space there is the option of our Mammoth Ceiling Blanket or for new ceilings without a roof space there is the option of our Mammoth Skillion Ceiling Sections.

  • Self-supporting sections for a smooth friction fit without creases, folds or tucks.
  • Also absorbs noise to create a quieter environment.
  • Moisture resistant - in the event of leaks they continue to perform once dried out.
  • Red List Free - no glues, resins, formaldehyde or pesticides added.
  • Safe and easy to work with - non-irritant and non-toxic.
  • No precautions are required for handling the product.

Mammoth Ceiling Batten Insulation must be installed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and in accordance with NZS 4246 (Energy Efficiency - Installing Insulation in Residential Buildings). 50 Year Warranty
Mammoth Insulation has a 50 year warranty. Our product warranty covers that - so long as the insulation is installed correctly and remains adequately protected - Mammoth insulation will perform for 50 years. The warranty applies only to 100% polyester insulation products manufactured by InZone Industries Ltd and not to other composite products manufactured by InZone. Traditional carded polyester insulation layers the fibres whereas the more randomised nature of Airlay insulation means it has structural properties that support higher performance.

Mammoth Ceiling Batten insulation sections are produced on Australasia's only Airlay insulation plant with properties that supports superior installation and construction R-values. The sections can be squeezed into place and are self-supporting giving a seamless creasefree install.

Mammoth ceiling batten insulation blanket is produced on our carded insulation plants and is a soft roll-form blanket that can be torn to length or cut with shears.
