Mammoth® ceiling and roof insulation is made from long lasting 100% polyester insulation. It is non-irritant, non-toxic and is warranted not to sag over time so to keep homes warmer and more energy efficient for longer. Depending on the roof space, Mammoth has soft roll-form ceiling blankets, skillion roof and or friction-fit ceiling batten insulation sections to suit.
Mammoth Ceiling Blanket Insulation
We all know heat rises and it’s estimated that 30-35% of heat loss from an uninsulated house is through the ceiling. So the roof cavity is the best place to start adding insulation in the building to reduce heat transfer through ceilings, helping keep the warmth in in winter but also cooler in summer.
Mammoth ceiling blankets are designed to be installed in new or existing roof cavities.
Mammoth® ceiling insulation is a long lasting 100% polyester blanket insulation made in NZ. An effective and easy form of thermal insulation, Mammoth's ceiling blankets have a range of R-values of up to R4.0, or R8.0 when double layered. Mammoth blankets are long lasting, won't sag or settle over time, are non-irritant and highly effective. Mammoth products contain recycled polyester fibres. Mammoth ceiling blanket insulation uses up to 7,400 recycled PET plastic bottles per 100sqm*.
Mammoth insulation blanket products are suitable for installation in homes with a pitched roof and an accessible ceiling space, and suspended ceiling applications in commercial buildings and residential environments.
For new ceilings without a roof space there is the option of our Mammoth Skillion Ceiling Sections and for skillion and truss roofs we have Mammoth Ceiling Battens.
Can be double layered to meet the Building Code.
Mammoth ceiling blankets are manufactured in roll form so that they can be installed as both a single or double layer system. For any system - single or double layered - the joist depth must be greater than the insulation thickness.
Mammoth ceiling blankets are designed in widths to fit snugly between joists or trusses in a single layer option or alternatively with a second layer run perpendicular to the first, covering the top of the joists or truss bottom chord reducing thermal bridging in these areas.
Key Features:
Alongside Mammoth’s sustainability credentials, recyclability, trusted accreditations and 90-year warranty, these key features set our insulation apart:

Mammoth Skillion Roof Insulation
Mammoth skillion roof insulation is designed for new homes without a roof space.
Mammoth® skillion roof sections are designed to promote high thermal performance in modern skillion roof or flat roof designs.
Mammoth high density, moisture-resistant sections are made from 100% polyester with a controlled loft to ensure the required 25mm air ventilation gap to the roof is always maintained.
Mammoth products contain recycled polyester fibres. Mammoth ceiling skillion section insulation uses up to 9,300 recycled PET plastic bottles per 100sqm*.
They are Red List Free and allow a smooth crease-free friction-fit to enhance thermal performance.
For ceilings with sufficient roof space there is the option of our Ceiling Blanket Insulation and for skillion and truss roofs we have Ceiling Batten Insulation.
Key Features:
Alongside Mammoth’s sustainability credentials, recyclability, trusted accreditations and 90-year warranty, these key features set our insulation apart:
- High performance semi-rigid 100% polyester sections with a controlled loft to provided assured air-space to roof lining.
- Available in a range of sections and blankets, various R values and sizes.
- Self-supporting for a smooth friction fit without creases, folds or tucks.
- Easy and safe to install - simply squeezes between joists with no need for staples.

Mammoth Ceiling Batten Insulation
Mammoth ceiling batten insulation is designed for skillion and truss roofs.
Made of 100% polyester, Mammoth® Ceiling Batten Insulation is designed to support the thermal performance of skillion and truss roof spaces. Ceiling batten space is an ideal cavity to insulate:
- to reduce thermal bridging through your truss bottom chords or rafters, and
- as the space is easily accessible from underneath and usually an unused space.
We have two options available for ceiling batten spaces - a R1.0 blanket and R1.3 airlay sections. Both require 45mm deep ceiling battens.
For ceilings with sufficient roof space there is the option of our Mammoth Ceiling Blanket or for new ceilings without a roof space there is the option of our Mammoth Skillion Ceiling Sections.
Key Features:
Alongside Mammoth’s sustainability credentials, recyclability, trusted accreditations and 90-year warranty, these key features set our insulation apart:
- High performance semi-rigid airlay 100% polyester sections for timber framing only, or carded polyester blanket, several R values available.
- 45mm thick sections to fit between ceiling battens.
- Self-supporting for a smooth friction fit without creases, folds or tucks.
- Easy and safe to install - simply squeezes between joists with no need for staples.
- Provides thermal and acoustic benefits for residential and commercial applications.
- Mammoth ceiling skillion insulation uses up to 9,300 recycled PET plastic bottles per 100sqm* (based on 16.2g 500ml PET Bottles).
